About Erica

Hi,

I’m Erica Manney.  You probably found me by doing a search, because I don’t really tell many people about this site–don’t worry, I’m a bit of an internet-stalker myself.

I’ll make it easy on you! The links on the right will bring you to my professional pages, my Twitter feed and direct you to some blogs I have written or regularly contribute towards.

You Should Only Know is my personal blog. I consider it “The Guide to Modern Manners and Sticky Situations.”  I offer advice on careers, marketing, personal finance and navigating relationships.

Pale Nerd was an experiment where I successfully blogged about every book I read, for a whole year. It was a lot of fun to do, but I am relieved it’s over.

When not blogging, or obsessively looking at animal rescue websites, I am a Marketing Manager at a great online education company, Tutor.com. I wear a lot of hats, including managing our customer service department, but have been focused on our social media strategy. I’ responsible for most of the great content you see on our corporate blog.

I am available for freelance marketing projects. I have a soft-spot for small businesses, social media and community outreach.

Stuff I love (in no particular order):

  • Human Resources
  • Dogs
  • Environmental Sustainability
  • Magazines
  • Fresh-cut grass
  • Clipping out recipes (but very rarely actually cooking)
  • My neighborhood in Queens
  • Community planning
  • Archaeology
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer
  • When a plan comes together
